Ortofon MC Jubilee

The MC Jubilee was launched to celebrate Ortofon’s 80 years anniversary. This high-end cartridge features unique exterior design and interior construction based on numerous technological advances in the service of your listening experience.

MC Jubilee also incorporates Ortofon’s patented WRD-Damping system (Wide Range Damping), controlling the high-and low frequency damping separately. The effective mass has been reduced in the stylus/cantilever system by using a very thin boron rod. This material is extremely stiff and even more lightweight compared to aluminum.

Besides is the velocity of sound almost 3 times higher compared to that of aluminum. Combined with the nude high-polished Shibata diamond stylus at the end of the cantilever we have developed one of the new elements responsible for the new sound 6-nines (99.9999%) pure silver is used for the coils on the armature.

Ortofon Kontrapunkt a

Kontrapunkt a has an aluminum cantilever mounted with a super polished nude fine line stylus.

Coils are made from 6-Nines pure silver wire, and the output is as high as 450 µ Volt at 5 cm/sec. by 1 kHz.

Ortofon Kontrapunkt b

Kontrapunkt b has a very thin Ruby cantilever mounted with the super polished nude FG 80 stylus.

Coils are made from 6- Nines pure silver wire and the output is as high as 470µVolt at 5 cm/sec. by 1 kHz.

Compared to MC Jubilee the sound picture is more open, grandiose and dynamic with a very present perspective.

Ortofon Kontrapunkt c

Kontrapunkt c has a conical aluminum cantilever is fitted with a Nude FG 80 diamond stylus. Coils are wound from 99.9999% pure silver.

A neodymium magnet and an output of 470 mV ensure an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio with any MC Preamplifier.

Kontrapunkt c incorporates Ortofon’s unique FSE (field stabilizing element) to achieve optimal frequency response linearity by stabilizing the magnetic field around the armature - especially during complex crescendo passages - and to ensure consistently high channel separation across the frequency band.

Ortofon Kontrapunkt h

Kontrapunkt h has a nude Fine Line elliptical diamond stylus mounted on an aluminum cantilever (as in Kontrapunkt a) in conjunction with our innovative FSE (Field Stabilizing Element) provides exceptionally open bass and midrange with smooth, natural overtones.

The Kontrapunkt family resemblance is obvious with outstanding channel separation across the fundamental frequency range and into the extreme upper frequencies, contributing to sublime dynamics and musical clarity.
