The Claw came into being after the Beak. Because of its unique shape the Claw better decouples the speaker. It sits on a ball bearing that is found just outside the loudspeaker’s perimeter. It’s elliptical shape controls surface resonances. The “Claw” is symbolic of the claws of an eagle. It grabs its prey without damage (it doesn’t damage the floor).
