The Black Cube Decade fills the huge gap between the highly awarded Black Cube SE and our reference phono stage, the Silver Cube.

At the High End show in Munich 2005 Lehmann audio announces the release of a new phono stage named Black Cube Decade to celebrate the first decade of Black Cube phono stages and to effectively fill the huge gap between the company‘s own Black Cube SE and the Silver Cube reference phono stage. The price of the new phono stage has yet to be determined. The Black Cube Decade will be the top model of the Black Cube series of phono stages and will be available in late summer 2005.

The device consists of two identical cases, each one has the size of the Black Cube Linear (280 x 110 x 44mm, case only). Power supply and audio section of the Black Cube Decade will also be available separately to allow easy upgrade.

Audio Section

• The input stages used in the Black Cube Decade can also be found in top notch mixing consoles or in well known professional microphone preamps.
• The passive filter network between two linear gain stages is realized with precision MKP caps
• Several resistive and capacitive load options as standard
• Front switchable gain (36dB - 66dB) and soft bass rolloff

Power Supply Unit (PWX II)

• Power supply outlets for two audio devices
• 30 VA toroidal transformer of the PWX II power supply is a key component for the sonic performance achieved with the Black Cube Decade. This transformer is not only overdimensioned but sports a grounded isolation coil between the primary and secondary coil.
